É only concern I noticed is, it is hard 4 peepz 2 memorize her name... Maritza Sufira, quite mouthful I noe, but it comes wif a gd meanin' & we, é parents, luv it... My Dad is é only 1 in é family who has a prob pronouncin' Maritza's name, heee..! So, 2 make it simple 4 him, he created a name especially 4 Maritza called Nendo... There is no meanin' 2 dat but it's just a term of endearment between him & his granddaughter... My Mom, on é other hand, call Maritza Buntat Nenek or Ayang-ayang..! My eldest bro call her Itza whereas my elder bro call her Kecik... I, myself, call her Sayang, Darlin' or her name itself... Honey, conversely, has lotza nicknames 4 his daughter... Sum of which he formed includes Baby Kee-tic-kee-tic, Baby Bulat & é most recent, Munchie-munchie Daddy, hahha..! Wonder where he got é idea from...

As u can see, there's so many names 4 diz junior of mine @ diz tender age & I'm sure there will be lotz more comin' up... É best part is, she lurves all of 'em coz evrytime she is bein' called, she will smile... Dat makes me wonder wat she'll tink of these names wen she grow up, heh..! Wateva it is, we all luv u Maritza, we really do!!!

Jan - Started é yr wif a changed status & learnt é ropes of bein' a spouse...

Feb - Tendered my resignation in diz Corp which I had served for almost 4 yrs...

Mar - Celebrated my 1st b'day as a wifey & enjoyin' my days bein' unemployed...

Apr - Started searchin' 4 a job... Found 1 but left 2 wks after, heh..!

May - A visit 2 Raffles Medical Clinic rite after Mommy's Day revealed dat I was 1½ mths pregnant... A big shock indeed... Dat explains é feelings of discomforts 4 é past few wks... Estimated due date given was 01 January 2009, oh my, dat's our anni honey..! If it hasn't been 4 é "mini construction" goin' on in my tummy, I will still be clueless on diz major development goin' on in my body... A thorough discussion wif é husband resulted in me lettin' go of a position which I had just secured & I had 2 turn down an interview wif é Ministry dat I had been lookin' 4ward 2 go... As they said, these á é gd fortune é unborn child is givin' us, a stroke of luck indeed, Alhamdulillah... He was not keen on é idea of me werkin' in diz condition per se...

Jun - Since I will be unemployed for a year or so, I had decided 2 use diz free time 2 rest, rest, rest... I had wanted 2 work from home initially but there was no opportunity 2 do so... I "interviewed" my Ummi & MIL on their past pregnancies... I guess diz will at least give me a betta idea of wat 2 expect as my tummy grows... 2 of my close galfrens, who were recent moms, too were not bein' spared from é numerous of questions dat I gotta ask... In diz mth too, we had selected a gynae, a senior consultant from NUH, recommended by a galfren... Went 4 our 1st check-up where I had 2 undergo a blood test... É nurse had a hard time extractin' blood from my fine veins (due 2 lack of exercise) & in the end, é gynae had 2 do it herself, after several attempts dat is..! My weight was 39.2 kg which was quite alarmin' I thot, seein' dat I was already 3 mths pregnant... However, é gynae had assured me dat baby is growin' on fine, Alhamdulillah...

Jul - Blood test results were fine, Alhamdulillah... By diz time, é bump on my tummy was quite obvious & I cud not fit in sum of my clothes... I cud already feel baby's movement, though mild, é ticklin' sensation was amazin'... My gynae did a check on baby's heartbeat... Baby was breathin' so quickly, just like a pantin' horse, which is considered normal...

Aug - At diz point of time, I've already hit é halfway mark in my pregnancy... Baby's movement is gettin' more intense... Noticed dat baby only stopped 2 rest in bout 30 mins per day... Durin' diz period too, honey & myself had our measurements done 4 our HRA outfits... There, I had 2 gauge é length of my tummy so dat I can fit into my outfits come Syawal...

Sep - Managed 2 fast thruout é whole mth, Alhamdulillah... It was a wonder how I managed 2 curb my appetite durin' é day coz I've been a big eater since I've got pregnant... Prolly é trick is 2 eat heartily durin' fast-breakin' & suhoor... Durin' our mthly check-up wif é gynae, I was told 2 monitor baby's movement & 2 jot down baby's 10th movement for é day on a daily basis... Dat was an easy task coz diz active baby will move more than 10 times in less than 10 mins..!

Oct - HRA season... In é 1st 3 wks, I had gained 3 kg... My gynae was concerned on whether did I consume lotza sugar durin' é festive season... I was directed 2 undergo glucose tolerance test... Thankfully, results showed dat I was not havin' diabetes... Diz mth too, I had my prenatal massage... É masseuse confirmed dat baby's head had already turn downwards, é same thing my gynae had said durin' our last scan session...

Nov - Detailed scan on baby done yet again... Baby weighs 1.8 kg at 31 wks... My gynae had a hard time takin' baby's measurements as baby is very active & cannot stop movin'..! Gender was still undetermined as baby's legs á crossed, it was é same wen we had our last scan done in Sep..!

Dec - Early diz mth, my parents had set off 2 é holy land & only be back on new yr's day, my supposedly estimated due date... I was heavily pregnant & at é same time gettin' myself prepared 4 é early signs of labour... Waited I did till I came up wif a decision durin' my last antenatal check-up... Click here 2 continue...
